Pictures Of The Upcoming Vande Sadharan Train Is Spreading All Over The Internet Before It Hits The Tracks

The Vande Bharat Express train was launched by the Prime Minister in February 2019 and its service is spreading to more states at present. The Vande Bharat has only air-conditioned seats now and the fares are slightly higher than the regular trains. To make the services similar to Vande Bharat accessible to the average person, the Vande Sadharan train is getting ready.

In the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), the 22-coach push-and-pull non-AC Vande Sadharan train’s first rake is getting ready to hit the tracks. The rollout of the first rake is expected to happen by the end of October.

The Vande Sadharan will provide a similar travel experience to Vande Bharat with non-air-conditioned or unreserved travel. The interior has the same design as the general coach with the seats and berths having upgraded designs.

The paneling, LED lights, fans, and switches have a modern design that will attract the eyes. Mobile charging points for every seat are provided on this train for the convenience of each passenger. The coaches will also include a toilet for the disabled, a public address system, and, similar to the Vande Bharat, there will be a sealed gangway for safety.

Of the total of 22 coaches, there will be 12 sleeper class coaches, 8 general coaches, and 2 guard coaches. This train will have locomotive engines at both ends. The LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches are almost ready but the retrofitting of two locomotives with nose cones is still going on at Carriage and Loco Works in Perambur.

The Vande Sadharan train is being manufactured at ICF Chennai with an estimated budget of Rs 65 crores. The Vande Bharat train was also manufactured at the same factory at a cost of around Rs 100 crores.
