Qualcomm Officially Unveils Qualcomm RB3 Gen 2 Platform With Increased AI Performance
Last month Qualcomm officially introduced S5 Gen 3 and S3 Gen 3 sound platforms for wireless audio products and was said to enhance the listening experience of the users. This month the company has once again arrived with something new and advanced for the users.
Well, we are talking about the Qualcomm RB3 Gen 2 robotics platform that arrives with increased on-device AI processing.

The platform is powered by a QCS6490 CPU and Adreno 643 GPU. It arrives with an integrated Wi-Fi 5E chip. It offers a 10x increase in on-device AI processing, support for quadruple 8MP+ camera sensors, and computer vision. It features support for Qualcomm Linux and is also supported in the Qualcomm AI hub which contains a library of continuously refreshed pre-optimized AI models for superior on-device AI performance, lower memory utilization, and power optimized operation.
This platform is expected to be used in a wide range of products that include various types of robots, drones, industrial handheld devices, industrial and connected cameras, AI edge boxes, intelligent displays, and more. It is available for pre-order in two integrated development kits- Core Kit and Vision Kit. It supports downloadable software updates to simplify application development, and integration and build proof-of-concepts and prototypes.
