This year in the month of March Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor that arrived with a host of improvements over it’s predecessor. And today the company has launched a third variant in its Snapdragon 7 series- Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
This newly launched chipset is based on TSMC’s 4nm process technology. It consists of four Cortex A78 performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex A55 efficiency cores clocked at 1.95GHz. These CPU configurations deliver smooth and efficient interactions. It is integrated with Adreno 710 GPU and Snapdragon X62 5G modem-RF system. It supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 also supports an FHD+ display that supports 4k videos at 30fps, 10-bit color depth, 144 Hz refresh rate, HLG, HDR10 and HDR vivid. It has 12-bit triple ISPs with support for a 200MP sensor and HDR video camera. The chipset comes with amazing Snapdragon Elite gaming features like Snapdragon sound with Qualcomm aptX for lossless music streaming. It also supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage type. It comes with a FastConnect 6700 mobile connectivity system. The AI De-Noising(AIDE) provides sharper network renders and clearer photos. It arrives with Quick Charge 4+ technology.
Smartphone brands might soon start introducing devices with this newly launched chipset but the company has till now not mentioned the exact timeline for when the chipset will be made available.
