Qualcomm is said to soon unveil Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and lately, this chipset has also been a part of the rumor mill due to which few details regarding the chipset were revealed, though nothing was officially confirmed and the launch timeline is known yet.
Yesterday NotebookCheck revealed the AnTuTu listing of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. The chipset is said to arrive with the codename Sun and is revealed to feature 6 performance cores that are clocked at 2.6GHz and 2 efficiency cores that are clocked at 1.939GHz on the testing unit.
The above image reveals that the chipset scored 17,69,083 score on the AnTuTu benchmark. The report reveals that Qualcomm might readjust the clocks later to keep thermals in check. Recently the Geekbench 6 results of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset were also tipped online which suggested that the upcoming chipset will offer increased multi-thread performance than its predecessor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Xiaomi 15 series is expected to come first with this upcoming chipset, just like how Xiaomi announced to launch Xiaomi 14 series last year with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset just a day after the launch of the chipset, the same is expected to happen this year. Other than this OnePlus 13 smartphone is also tipped to arrive with this chipset while some other devices may also join the list. If we talk about the launch, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to arrive in the month of October this year but we do need to wait for more clarification.
