A dangerous WhatsApp scam promises to provide Visa and then hacks your mobile!

A dangerous WhatsApp fraud scam is scamming people by promising them of giving a visa who want to work in the United Kingdom. The fraudsters are sending messages on WhatsApp to the people, stating themselves to be from the UK government, providing a free visa and other benefits to the individuals willing to move in UK.

The messages stated that the UK needs around 1,32,000 additional workers in 2022. And for that purpose, the government is initiating a recruitment drive were there are over 1,86,000 vacancies available.

Also, the fraudsters assured that the program covers travel expenses, housing. accommodation, medical facilities and many more and the applicants must be 16 years or above and should speak basic English.

Additionally, fraudulents also specified the benefit of the program and said instant work will be permitted, Visa application assistance. All nationalities can apply and the scheme is open to all individuals and students who want to work and study. The fraudsters then sends a link and says ‘Apply here’. If a victim clicks through the link, the fraudsters hacks their mobile and acquires sensitive information of the victim. Consequently, the website gathers all the personal data of visitors, including their names, emails and phone numbers.
