The company however didn’t declare how much data has been leaked and what was the potential of that hack. Even previously Cleartrip was hacked by a hacker called Turtle Squad in January of 2017. In that hack, the website homepage was defaced by the hacker.
Cleartrip started off its operations in 2006 as an online travel company offering information for easy booking of hotels, flights, trains, and more. Apart from India, Cleartrip is now also available in Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
So far no group has taken the responsibility for the hack.
