The Sukoharjo regency is located in Indonesia’s Central Java province. The population was 824,238 in the 2010 Census and 907,587 in the 2020 Census. Sukoharjo, its capital, is roughly 10 kilometers south of Surakarta. This regency is bordered by Surakarta in the north, Karanganyar in the east, Yogyakarta and Wonogiri in the south, and Klaten in the west. The regency is a part of the Surakarta metropolitan area or Subosukawonosraten.
6,000 employees of the Sukoharjo Regency Government in Central Java Province had their personal information stolen by malicious actors, according to a tweet from the account @darktracer int. On September 9, 2022, late Friday, the upload was completed.

The original upload said that “[ALERT] INDONESIA SUKOHARJO Regency government personnel data (6K) was exposed to the deep web by a rogue actor.”
The file also contained the logo of the Sukoharjo Regency Government and a message that the personal data of the 6,000 employees, including their full name, email address, and phone number, had been compromised.
The hashtag #sukoharjo became popular on Twitter as a result of hackers disclosing information about Sukoharjo Regency Government workers.
Suyamto, the Director of the Sukoharjo Regency’s Communication and Informatics Service (Kominfo), confirmed the occurrence when contacted. According to Suyamto, as of right now, the data was terminated early on Saturday, October 9, 2022.
Suyamto added that the Sukoharjo CSIRT Team has tracked and closed. Suyamto replied that the hacker was the same but collaborated with other hackers when questioned if the hacker “bjorka” who attacked the Ministry of Communication and Information was the same hacker who bombed the data.
