Entrust the biggest cybersecurity company in the United States got hacked!
Entrust, the trustworthy cybersecurity firm enabling security to all announced that its website has been compromised by hackers in a cyber attack. The company told that the attackers have accomplished in breaching its firewalls and stealing data from its internal system through hacked networks.
The hacking of the cybersecurity company is a big concern since these security services are used by several critical government agencies and organizations in the U.S. The effect of hacking compromised the data of several other companies which were associated with it for security purposes. Companies such as the Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Health & Human Services, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Agriculture.
The attack has been carried out by a well-known ransomware group that used malware to exploit networks and extort money by encrypting the system. According to reports the ransomware group initiated the cyber attack on June 18 when several Entrust corporate data were stolen and the system was breached. One of Entrust’s customers noticed that the cybersecurity company’s website was inaccessible.

However, the nature of the encryption and the exact identity of the ransomware group is yet to be revealed by the company spokesperson. The cybersecurity firm is currently conducting a detailed investigation to find out more about the hacking incident.
