IT Army of Ukraine inflicted damage on the Russian media outlet MK
Amidst numerous cyber-attacks and threats by various pro-Russian and pro-Ukraine hacker groups and cyber groups, the pro-Ukraine group “IT ARMY of Ukraine” has also been majorly active. It ARMY of Ukraine has been carrying on their moves against Russian media outlets. According to recent updates, the group has been allegedly knocking Russian media outlets.
CyberKnow shared a screenshot through their Twitter handle, @Cyberknow20, that showed a message by IT Army of Ukraine. The displayed message featured statements by the group. It stated that the group’s raid on MK, the Russian media outlet, turned off the media agency’s platform for three hours.
The statements further stated that through this activity, MK lost an audience of 250,000-500,000 visitors compared to their average attendance. It was also mentioned in the message that the group attacked the entire MK infrastructure. This resulted in all the counterparts getting damaged.
Because of the attack, the media agency had to swap internet provider for sanctioned Kaspersky. Additionally they had to put a lot behind geoblock. The statements stated that because of this, propaganda won’t leak out of Russia anymore.
The final statement in the displayed screenshot stated that there won’t be any victory for foes neither on internet nor battlefields.
