Microsoft’s DCU takes a big step to stop cyberattacks from Iranian malicious actor Bohrium!
Microsoft’s Digital Crimes Unit, particularly known as DCU has revealed that it has filed legal litigation against an Iranian malicious actor which is linked to the cybercriminal group Bohrium in a hacking operation.
Consequently, this hacking collective has targeted various systems of the sectors like tech, transportation, government and others in U.S, Middle East and India. They create fake social media profiles saying them as recruiters. Afterwards, they hacks the personal information of the victims and immediately infects their computers with malware.
Accordingly, Microsoft has now stated that it has identified such type of malware in the OneDrive activity and hence has filed a law suit against the hackers. In order to stop the cyberattacks Microsoft seized 41 of its domains like “.com,” “.info,” “.live,” “.me,” “.net,” “.org,” and “.xyz”.
