Pro Russian Hacking group KillNet claimed to DDoS attack three Norwegian banking websites
Pro-Russian hackers group KillNet has claimed that they performed a distribution denial-of-service (DDoS) targeting three major Norweigian websites. According to their claim websites of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, the Stander Consumer Bank, and a financial organization Sbanken Service has been compromised.
The compromised government and private websites serve as the building blocks of the Norwegian economy. KillNet has distributed the breached data on their Telegram account. They said on Telegram after hacking private banking sectors, “We decided to take a look at the banking sector in Norway and in the process disabled the authorization service on the Santander Consumer bank website.” They also claimed that “We didn’t break it but optimized it.”
As reported from KillNet’s previous hacking campaigns this time they tried to tumble the country’s economy and in the process hacked one private financial sector. They said on Telegram regarding this, “Before we had time to write that we had dropped the Sbanken service, the website of this financial organization in Norway fell too.”
They provided links to breached data from the compromised websites on Telegram in an attempt to prove their successor hacking campaign.

The pro-Russian hacking group targeted Norway’s public administration portal on June 30 with a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack as confirmed by the National Security Authority of Norway. The attack was constructed against the countries that have signed NATO membership. The Russian hacker’s group also cyber attacked the public and private portals in Lithuania for blocking Russia’s transport of goods to Russia’s exclave of Kaliningrad.
Norway has also blocked the transit of Russian goods to the archipelago of Svalbard via its ports. Both the countries took the decision of blocking Russian material since the EU sanctions Russia in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Reportedly in response to KillNet’s cyber attack, the Anonymous Collective, and IT Army Ukraine has raged a war on Russia’s cyberspace and have been disabling their websites.
