ScamAdviser – Data Breached

As per what has been reported, it was on the 24th of January 2025 that ScamAdviser was informed of a possible ‘limited’ data breach and email details of users were leaked thereafter. What is more concerning is the fact that some of them were leaked along with the passwords, causing more havoc in terms of other user data getting leaked, if users have the same password set on other systems or services as well.

ScamAdviser has informed that apart from this, there isn’t any other personal data leak after the thorough investigation that was conducted, and the company as of now is reviewing its security measures. Once it is completed, the company has assured users that ScamAdviser will be back online again, however, every user password have been reset and users should set a new password when they access the platform next time. Additionally, it has also been advised to users who have been using the same password on other systems or services to change it immediately to avoid any further damage.
