Should We Use Apps to Store Our Passwords? Here’s Our Stand
Most of us use a lot of online platforms which includes banking, shopping, social media and so on. Creating different passwords for each and to remember all of them can get really difficult.
Apps or password managers are one way to save your passwords and will help you in the future. But should you use them? Here’s our stand.
Should We Use Apps to Store Our Passwords?
Apps or password managers are one effective way in storing your passwords for your future needs. They are completely safe depending on which app and password manager you use.
While selecting an app or a password manager to save your passwords, go for one which saves your password in an encrypted manner which prevents any outsiders from using it. For some apps and password managers, the passwords will be encrypted in such a manner that the platform itself will have zero knowledge about the passwords.
You will also have a master password with which the app or the password manager itself will be protected. Have it also locked with a biometric security will help in preventing anyone from hacking into the password manager.
These apps and password managers are also useful in synchronising through all your devices and will help in spotting fake websites. They will also warn you if any of your passwords appear in a known data breach.
Never look at the amount of money that you are spending for your password managers and never depend on free password managers as they won’t have a proper platform which will protect it from hackers.
If you select an app or a password manager making sure of all these things, it is completely safe and reliable to use one for your future needs.
