SiegedSec claims to have hack an IT monitoring service named WhaTap

A hackers collective named ‘SiegedSec’ has claimed to have breached a WhaTap, an IT monitor service which is one of the top monitoring service in Korea.

Accordingly, the hacking collective has hacked the website of the Korean monitoring service provider and started erasing the company’s projects. For the same, the SiegedSec has published a video on Twitter in which they are deleting the projects from the WhaTap’s dashboard.

SiegedSec isn’t exactly a renowned hacking collective, rather the collective is small and very new, having members across the globe. The collective was formed in early 2022 and it had leaked several stolen data from compromised networks, including an Indian media outlet, a Taiwan telecommunications company and an insurance company in Puerto Rico and others.

WhaTap is a no. 1 SaaS Monitoring Solution in Korea started in the year 2014. The company has received investments of around 15.1 million USD from several ventures and investors.
