Sim switching and replacing are likely called as sim swapping and cloning. They are the two distinct methods by which a third party can tap a mobile phone’s sim cards. Sim cards are mainly inserted into a phone for a purpose to identify it on a cellular network and store data. The sim cards also helps to identify and serve the user who owns the device.

Sri Lankan police can access all your calls which are received or made and also the sms messages of your mobile phones. However, WhatsApp is using a 256-bit end-to-end encryption and hence WhatsApp calls cannot be traced. The government will not be able to access or check your content after being connected on the Israeli spyware. This spyware is mainly used for tapping the phone calls and poking into the WhatsApp chats of the mobile phones.
