Whatsapp New Scam Alert!! This can empty your bank account
A new WhatsApp scam has come up. Named Rediroff.com, the scam has been circulating on Whatsapp for a few days now. According to reports, fraudsters are using the WhatsApp scam to steal users personal and financial data like bank and card details.
A report in CNBC hints that it has affected a large group of people this by promising them with expensive gifts. According to the report, scammers send a link to WhatsApp users and once a user clicks the link, a website opens which says users can win a reward by filling a survey. After the user answers the questions, they are redirected to a website where they are asked to fill out some of their information like name, age, address, bank information, and other personal data.
Also some hackers are sending messages like, “Sorry who are you?” Then they try to continue the conversation by saying, “I found you on my to-do list”. Then they ask basic information about name, age and occupation then they ask your social media details like Facebook, Instagram, etc. Then they blackmail you that’ll they will reveal your private photos and demand high money from you.
Some users are actually trapped in the scam. Beware about it.
