Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2024 event will be held between October 21 to October 23 in Maui, Hawaii. At this upcoming event the company is expected to unveil its much anticipated Snapdragon 8 Elite (formerly known as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4). Xiaomi 15 series is already confirmed to features this chipset while few other devices are also said to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Snapdragon has today officially announced that users will be able to get an inside look into this years hottest innovations, product launches and extra special surprises straight from the summit on Snapdragon’s YouTube Channel.

Reportedly, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (8 Elite) will arrive with two variants- SM8750 and SM8750P. The chipset is said to be using self-developed custom Oryon cores, and support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage (PCle 5 2-lane). It is also revealed that the chipset will be able to achieve reading and writing speeds of 4,500MB/s and 4,000MB/s respectively.
Notably a significant improvement has been brought in terms of screen resolution and refresh rate support. From the previous 3360 x 1600 pixels resolution + 144Hz refresh rate support, the chipset will be able to support up to 3840 x 2560 pixels resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, thanks to the Adreno 830 GPU [This means devices will be able to have resolutions higher than 4K]. The Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip has also been upgraded to WCN7880/7881, and this should be the FastConnect 7900. UWB support will also thus be present.
