“Starlink is meant for peaceful use only,” Musk wrote on Twitter, know why
Due to SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet connection service, Ukrainians now access the internet on their own. The service additionally enables the country to keep in touch with the outside world thanks to its fleet of low-Earth orbit satellites. It is used a lot in remote areas and regions that Russia often bombs.
By sending Starlink into the beleaguered country, the computer tycoon prevented Moscow from isolating Ukraine from the outside world and destroying its communications network.
It seems that Russia was still after Starlink more than three months later. In a recent remark given at a UNODA meeting on September 12, the Russian representative to the group seemed to be subtly criticizing SpaceX’s service.
Musk appears to believe that the Starlink satellites are the target of the Russian remark. The billionaire has recently said again in Moscow that service is essentially a tool for dialogue rather than a weapon of war.
“Starlink is meant for peaceful use only,” Musk wrote on Twitter. He didn’t go into more detail, but a few hours later he added, “to help mend the fault in our stars.”
It’s noteworthy that Moscow’s remarks come at a challenging time for the country in this battle. Russia is suffering greatly as a result of the recent events in eastern Ukraine.
In the south and northeast of the nation, near Kherson and Kharkiv, Ukraine quickly overcame Russian fortifications and took control of 6,000 km2 of its territory at the beginning of September. Russian morale has been lowered by these military triumphs, and some Russians who support this war are now having second thoughts.
