MediaTek might unveil its Dimensity 9300 chipset this year in the month of October and the chipset is expected to be the first to come with 9.6Gbps LPDDR5T RAM support.
Here’s more about it.
MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Likely Arriving in October
This update comes from the Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station who has shared that the Dimensity 9300 chipset from MediaTek has been tentatively scheduled to debut in the month of October 2023.
From what DCS has posted on the Weibo platform, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 chipset is likely going to be made using TSMC’s 4nm process technology and might have a core configuration with four Cortex X4 super large cores and four Cortex A720 large cores. He has also mentioned that the chipset will be integrated with the Immortalis G720 GPU and is expected to be the first chipset to support the LPDDR5T RAM with a speed of 9.6Gbps.
Vivo’s X100 and X100 Pro smartphones were said to come equipped with this new chipset, but later, as per our exclusive report, the Vivo X100 5G global variant was revealed to be powered by a Dimensity 8 series chipset.
Speaking more about the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, the primary Cortex X4 cores are said to have a primary clock speed of minimum 3.0 GHz and its A720 cores should probably have a minimum base clock speed of 2.0 GHz. Better CPU performance and better GPU performance are also expected for the chipset.
According to a previous report, the chipset is reportedly said to have a frame rate of 90 FPS and when compared to the Adreno 740 GPU integrated with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the chipset will be having a 30% more powerful GPU. Qualcomm will be releasing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset soon and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 is definitely going to keep up with it.
