iQOO removes bloatware like Hot Apps/Hot Games from Funtouch OS 14 for the iQOO 12
After introducing the iQOO 12 series in China, the smartphone brand is all set to unveil the iQOO 12 5G smartphone in the Indian market on 12 December 2023. For now, the Pro model will not be making its debut in India. The brand has started teasing the specs of the upcoming iQOO 12 5G smartphone in India while the launch page for the device is also made live on Amazon.
Recently the brand officially revealed that iQOO 12 5G will run on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. Today iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya has revealed some key points related to the latest FunTouch OS 14 on iQOO 12.

iQOO has decided to remove bloatware like Hot Apps/Hot Games from the all-new FunTouch OS 14. The company will also be providing 3 years of Android and 4 years of security updates to the Indian users of iQOO 12 5G. FunTouch OS 14 also arrives with various new customizations for lock screen, Kinetic wallpaper, and Always on Display styles.
iQOO 12 5G: Specifications (revealed)
This upcoming device will be India’s first smartphone that will be powered with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC that will be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It will be arriving in two color variants in India- Alpha edition (Black) and Legend edition (White). It will be equipped with a Q1 SuperComputing chip, and a 6K large vapor chamber, and will offer 144FPS Game Frame Interpolation.
Since the device has already made its debut in China, it is known that it comes with a 6.78-inch wide 1260×2800 pixels resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate display. The camera section includes a triple camera setup on the rear featuring a 50 MP main camera, a periscope telephoto camera of 64 MP, and an ultrawide camera of 50 MP. And there is a 16 MP selfie camera. The handset is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 120W charging.
