Nothing announced OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 for Nothing Phone(2) users

Nothing Phone(2) announced the Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1 last month. It came with several improvements including enhanced UI, improved performance, and some new features in camera, security, notifications, new theme.

Now the company has announced an Open Beta 2 for Nothing Phone(2) users that gives them a chance to get early access to the newest improvements and an exclusive preview of Android 14. This announcement came from the Nothing Community page.

This update includes

Glyph Interface

  • Glyph Progress integration for Google Calendar. You can track upcoming events with a 5-minute countdown through the Glyph interface.
  • Now Glyph Timer supports time presets that let you quickly set your desired durations.
  • You can easily open the Glyph Timer directly from the lock screen.
  • A new animation has also been added when NFC is used.
  • A new option has been added to open the Glyph Timer pop-up window.

Other improvements.

  • More options for the double-press power button gesture have been added.
  • Predictive Back is now supported on all Nothing apps.
  • The reliability of the three-finger swipe gesture is improved.
  • Several status bar icons have improved
  • Other minor UI improvements.
  • General bug fixed.

Steps need to be followed to download the OBT 2

  • Download the rollback package for Nothing OS 2.0.4.
  • Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta version.
  • Tap ‘Import file’ and select the previously downloaded package.
  • Follow the steps to carry through with the rollback.
