Nothing OS 2.0.4 Update Rolls-Out For Phone (2), Android 14 (2.5.0) Stable Version Release Date Still Unannounced
Nothing, the UK-based tech company, has started to roll out a new system update to its latest Phone (2) smartphones. The update will be bringing the October 2023 Android security patch, along with a few improvements and bug fixes.
Here’s more about the update.
Nothing Phone (2) – Nothing OS 2.0.4 Update
The Nothing OS 2.0.4 update that the brand has started rolling out for the Phone (2) devices, is being rolled out in a phased manner, and only a few users might have received it by now, and for others, they would probably have to wait for quite some more time, until the update is reviewed and ensured to be safe for further roll-out.
Speaking about the update, the changelogs include a new photos widget that enables users to display their favorite photos on the home screen or lock screen, an updated widget library interface with Nothing widgets categorized together, and an added option that allows users to hide apps by simply swiping right in the app drawer.
Some of the improvements are the improved processing for scenes with bright backlighting, improved zoom consistency in between previewed and captured footage, improved speaker volume, and optimizations in sounds when connected with a smartwatch or earbuds. The October 2023 Android security patch will also be integrated into the device, enhancing the overall system security of the smartphone.
To add, the brand has already started the Nothing OS 2.5 beta 1 program for its Phone (2) users, and it will also be opened to the Phone (1) users soon, before the end of 2023. However, the release date for the Nothing OS 2.5.0 based on Android 14(stable version) has still not yet been decided and we’ll have to wait until it is declared to confirm it.
