Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 rolled out for Nothing Phone (1) users

Nothing announced the Nothing OS 2.5 stable version based on Android 14 for it’s latest Nothing Phone (2) users previously and as promised by the company the Open Beta testing for this version was also started for the Phone (1) users in the month of December last year.

As per Nothing’s community page, Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 is available as an OTA for the users of Nothing Phone (1) who have already installed the Open Beta 1 on their devices. The Phone (1) users who have not installed the OBT1 (Open Beta 1) need to install it first in order to go for the Open Beta 2 version.

Install from Open Beta1:

  • Navigate to Settings>System>System update
  • Tap “Check for update” and follow the steps for installation

  • Resolved unresponsive Bluetooth icon in the Quick Settings.
  • Resolved noise issues with Bluetooth audio devices in specific scenarios.
  • Resolved issue where battery percentage was not displayed in the status bar.
  • Resolved abnormal display issues with the clock widget.
  • Improved stability of the System UI.
  • Resolved unresponsive calculator widget on the lock screen.
  • Fixed overlapping issue between lightweight notifications and banner notifications in Game Mode.
  • General bug fixes and improvements.
