OxygenOS 14 Beta 2 for the OnePlus 11 Smartphone Now Available: Only in India and North America

After the first OxygenOS 14 beta, OnePlus has decided to move forward with its second beta for the flagship OnePlus 11 device. The new beta has been optimized well and brings a few more functional features. Currently, it will only be available to the OnePlus 11 smartphone users of India and North America.

Here’s more about it.

OnePlus 11 – OxygenOS 14 Beta 2

For the Indian users of the smartphone, they have to submit the application in order to receive the OxygenOS 14 Beta 2 as an OTA update. For this purpose, go to “Settings” and visit “About device”, select “up to date” and then tap on the icon given in the top right corner, press on Beta program, and follow the necessary steps. If the user is found eligible, the update will be rolled out, which can be installed by going to “About device” on “Settings”, and selecting “Download Now”.

The North American users will have to download the zip package and the APK file from the respective OnePlus source. After installing the APK file, please tap on the gear icon at the top right corner, and then the user should find the zip package from the device’s storage, and install it. After rebooting the device, it will be upgraded with the OxygenOS 14 Beta 2.

Things to Keep in Mind

OnePlus 11 Indian users must ensure that their device runs on the firmware version – CPH2447_13.1.0.590(EX01) or CPH2447_13.1.0.591(EX01). North American users of the smartphone must have their devices updated with the firmware version – CPH2451_13.1.0.591(EX01).

A battery life of more than 30% and a storage of at least 4GB must also be ensured. Do note, carrier carrier-exclusive models won’t be compatible with the open builds.

OxygenOS 14 Beta 2 – Changes

In the system, the issue causing third-party applications to crash and the screen flickering issue in certain apps have been fixed. The issue with the swipe-up gestures has also been fixed.

The volume issue with Bluetooth headphones, the display issue affecting the status bar, the issue with the toolbar in the Camera app failing to get hidden, and the display issue caused while interval shooting is turned on in landscape mode, are also fixed as well.

OxygenOS 14 Beta 2 – Known Issues

Some of the known issues of the OxygenOS 14 Beta 2 are the failure of the first fingerprint unlock at times, issues in connecting with an incoming WhatsApp voice or video call while gaming or in full-screen mode, abnormal brightening of the lock screen, the appearance of black edges on pictures taken with AI function on full screen, and no reminder notification when screen recording is turned on.

As you may know, the chances of bugs and issues are more on beta builds than the stable versions and users must keep this in mind before updating the device with the OxygenOS 14 Beta 2.
