One UI 6.0 Beta Program
Four beta updates of the latest Android 14 operating system have been released and the OS had achieved stability with the previous Android 14 beta 3 update. The latest Android 14 beta 4 update doesn’t have any major upgrades or changes apart from a few changes in the user interface. Currently, the Android 14 beta 4 update has been made available to certain Pixel smartphones, tablets, and foldable.
To speak about the changes, the first notable change is the colorful profile pictures that have been introduced for multiple user accounts. There is also a change brought to the lock screen where users won’t have to tap an enter button anymore to unlock the device, but just typing in the PIN would do so. Switching to split screen has also been made simple and users can easily turn to split screen from app shortcuts. For tablets and foldable devices, the widget picker section has also been divided into two columns – one which displays the widgets and the other which states its details. The mute icon in the status bar has also been changed.
