The List Of iOS 17 Compatible iPhones Is Out Now
Apple has officially announced the list of iPhones that are compatible with the latest operating service of iPhones, iOS 17. iOS 17 was announced and demonstrated at WWDC 2023 on June 5, but it won’t be available to compatible devices across the world until the fall or mid-September.
The software iOS 12 to iOS 16 was released between September 12 and September 20. So, Apple is going to release iOS 17 most likely in the mid-September period like the previous iOS releases. iPhone XS, launched back in 2018, is the oldest model compatible with the iOS 17 update. About 20 iPhone models are eligible for the iOS 17 update.
The iOS 17 compatible devices are iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone SE 2nd generation and above.
iOS 17 comes with a new set of features; Journal, StandBy, Contact Posters, Live Voicemail, Check In, FaceTime update, Messages update, Stickers update, AirDrop update, Keyboard update, Dictation update, Siri update, and Photos update.
If you are an Apple registered developer, you can download and install iOS 17 Beta today. There was a gap of 5 days between the iPhone 14 and iOS 16 update in 2022. The gap in 2021 was of 6 days.
It is possible that not all of iOS 17’s features will arrive on older devices as they may not have the processing power or hardware to support them. The StandBy mode feature is limited to iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
