Just like the other two chipsets that have been introduced, the latest Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset is also focusing on handheld gaming devices. The chipset features Qualcomm’s Kryo octa-core CPU and is integrated with the brand’s Adreno A32 GPU. Compared to its predecessor, the newly introduced Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset will thus be able to offer a 30% improved CPU performance and twice the GPU performance than before.

Speaking about the other specifications, this is the first G series chipset to support Wi-Fi 7 with a peak speed of up to 5.8 Gbps and is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest 5G modem(5GmmWave with a peak download speed of up to 10Gbps, 5G sub-6 @300Mhz). This will enable its users to play high-quality cloud games virtually anywhere with better connectivity. Along with this, the chipset also supports the latest Bluetooth version of 5.3 as well.

The newly introduced chipset also comes with a max on-device display support with an FHD+ screen resolution and up upto 144 FPS. It also supports stereo haptics, dual camera(with MFNR, ZSL, and 30FPS), hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and USB Type-C.

To sum up, the sustained graphics performance with immersive graphics experience, better and faster connectivity, and longer battery life will be some of the highlights of a handheld gaming device powered by the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 gaming platform.
