Qualcomm’s SM8635 New Snapdragon 8-Series Processor Core Specs Shared
Qualcomm, the American semiconductor company, is revealed to be in the works to unveil new Snapdragon processors and in recent days, some of the details and the possible smartphones that could come with one of the chipsets were pointed out.
Now, a Chinese tipster on the Weibo platform has shared a few of the processor’s core specifications, giving an insight into its performance.

Upcoming Snapdragon 8-Series Processor – Tipped Core Specs
The tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the core specifications of a Snapdragon chipset with the model number – “SM8635”, and this will be an upcoming Snapdragon 8-series chipset. Previous updates had pointed this to be a cut-down version of the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with a possible moniker of “Snapdragon 8s Gen 3”, whereas a later update revealed it to have surpassed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in terms of performance. Also, the tipster Roland Quandt shared that Qualcomm has two similar chipsets in works with different model numbers of “SM8635” and “SM7675”
Coming to Digital Chat Station’s Weibo post, the upcoming SM8635 processor is suggested to be made using TSMC’s 4nm process technology, and its core architecture is claimed to consist of a 2.9GHz± ARM Cortex X4 primary core. A previous update also suggested the other cores to be the Cortex A720 performance and the Cortex A520 efficiency cores. DCS’ recent post mentions the graphics processing unit to be the Adreno 735 GPU with 9xxMHz frequency (but the previous update pointed to the Adreno 740 GPU). The tipster also adds that its AnTuTu score is 1.7 million.
The “SM7675” processor, is reported to be the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, and Digital Chat Station has noted it to be the most powerful chipset of the Snapdragon 7-series with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s 1-5-2 microarchitecture.
Regarding the smartphones that are expected to arrive with the SM8635 chipset onboard, the POCO F6 smartphone was initially said to use the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, however, it is now tipped to have the SM8635 chip. The Redmi Note 13 Turbo is also expected to use this same processor. An upcoming iQOO smartphone, possibly under the Neo-series, is also suggested to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8-series chipset.
