A user by the name of Massimo with the username @Rainmaker1973 wrote about SR-71 the fastest and highest operational manned aircraft throughout its career (1964-1998). In 1976, it set an absolute speed record of 1,905.81 knots (2,193.2 mph; 3,529.6 km/h), approximately Mach 3.3.
