Elon Musk on Saturday shared data in which he said cars are more secure than motorcycles. He said, Unfortunately, there is just no way to make a motorcycle safe. Motorcyclist deaths per mile are ~29 times higher than car occupants.
He even shared data of nhtsa.gov along with his post. Elon Musk has never been a fan of motorcycles and he even shared his discomfort in one of his interviews in the past. He was asked by a man in the crowd if will tesla ever enter the motorcycle market, and to his reply, he said a big NO. He even shared a small story that he used to have a dirt bike back in the days. But he met with an accident at that time and after that, he has no desire of manufacturing a tesla motorcycle. He said he was almost killed by a truck on his motorcycle when he was 17.
Now even after so many years, he hasn’t changed his mind in that regard also. However, he has been working towards making tesla a great carmaker. He even launched Cyber Truck which made a lot of headlines. He even did drag with a ford truck that went viral. In which Tesla’s cyber truck was a clear winner.
Unfortunately, there is just no way to make a motorcycle safe. Motorcyclist deaths per mile are ~29 times higher than car occupants. https://t.co/zu5HAzNFhe
