“Happens to almost everyone,” Elon Musk replies over fake Twitter accounts

On Tuesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk takes on Twitter to reply to a user who had to block 22 fake bot accounts.

A user by the name of Eva McMillan tags Elon Musk and says she had to block 22 fake bot accounts today. She discovers that someone is impersonating her account using Eva1TeslaSPlaid with her personal picture.

Elon Musk replies to her by saying, “Happens to almost everyone.”

A poll by Tesla CEO Elon Musk has found out that nearly 65% of his followers do not believe in Twitter’s claim that less than 5% of daily users are fake/spam on the platform, economic times reports.

Musk, who is fighting a bitter legal battle with Twitter over the cancellation of the $44 billion takeover deal, started a Twitter poll last week among his 102.8 million followers on whether Twitter’s claim of less than 5% of daily users is fake/spam.

While 35% said Twitter is telling the truth, nearly 65% believe that this is not the case and the number of fake accounts is much higher.

Musk claims that if Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal can prove the actual number of fake accounts, then the terminated deal can still happen.
