Tesla’s Head Designer Franz’s metal ball tossing breaks the Tesla Electric pickup truck’s glass; Elon Musk erupts

Tesla Inc on Thursday announced its first electric pickup truck, but not all went according as precisely as it was thought. At the reveal in Los Angeles, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed the all-electric battery-powered Tesla Cybertruck that is partly influenced by the Lotus Esprit sports car (that doubled as a submarine) from the James Bond movie ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’.

While the event was going on, Elon Musk welcomed Tesla Head Designer Franz von Holzhausen to toss a huge metal ball at the driver’s side window to exhibit the quality of the vehicle’s heavily clad glass windows; Mr. Franz did as he was told – And the window at the very moment cracked!

“Oh my f**** God,” Elon Musk said, sounding shocked. “Maybe that was a little too hard.”

He at that point asked Mr von Holzhausen to test the window for the second time on the traveler side – and again the window broke.

“It didn’t go through,” said Mr Musk, who appeared to be astounded by the outcome. As indicated by TechCrunch, he tended to the group of spectators and said that in tests, the window didn’t break.

“We threw wrenches, we threw everything,” he said. “We even literally threw a kitchen sink at the glass, and it didn’t break. For a little weird reason it broke now, I don’t know why.

“We’ll fix it in post,” he mentioned.

The Tesla Cybertruck will have the initial model cost of $39,900 and a solid range of 500 or more miles. The production is expected to start in late 2021.
