TorBot – An Open Source Intelligence Tool for the Dark Web
The dark web has emerged as a major source of illegal activity. It is becoming more difficult to locate these services due to the proliferation of volunteered networks.

Open-source intelligence (OSINT) is a technique for gathering intelligence on targets through the harvesting of publicly available data. Because of the network’s complexity and anonymity, performing OSINT on the Tor network presents a challenge for both researchers and developers. This paper describes a tool for detecting OSINT on the dark web.
Researchers and law enforcement agencies can use this tool to automate the task of crawling and identifying different services in the Tor network. This tool has a number of features that can aid in the extraction of various types of intelligence.
TorBot is a Python-based open-source intelligence tool. The main goal of this project is to collect open data from the deep web (also known as the dark web) and use data mining algorithms to collect as much information as possible and create an interactive tree graph. The interactive tree graph module will be able to display the relationships between the intelligence data collected.
