Tyson Fury and his trainer SugarHill Steward fall to reality with responsibilities
Tyson Fury has returned to reality with a thud, having gone from the adrenaline rush of defeating Dillian Whyte in front of a sold-out Wembley Stadium to emptying the rubbish. On one of the greatest nights of his career, the heavyweight champion was escorted to the ring on a throne before killing Whyte with an uppercut. He promised himself that he would retire afterward, and on Monday, he was back to the boring tasks of everyday life. SugarHill Steward was seen in front of a massive mound of boxes and garbage while Fury was shooting, and the two began putting them into the back of a truck for a trip to the dump.
Several empty Easter egg boxes, including Twirl, Orange Smarties, and Creme Egg, were found among the trash, suggesting Fury may have taken advantage of the end of his rigorous pre-fight training regimen by indulging in some chocolate.
The ‘Gypsy King’ said: “From 95,000 people at Wembley and the heavyweight championship of the world… to me and Sugar doing the bins. Straight back off the motorway, on our own, getting it done. Tip run for us.” His renowned trainer then offered: “This is how everything comes to be, the little stuff.”
After their excursion to the landfill, the two enjoyed a BBQ, and the magnitude of Saturday night may be beginning to dawn on the 33-year-old. In front of a sell-out Wembley Stadium and the greatest gate in British boxing history, he utterly outclassed Whyte. For his homecoming fight in the United Kingdom, Fury earned £26.2 million. It cost £350,000 per punch landed and £1.5 million per minute for his whole night’s labor.
Fury stated that this would be his final professional fight. Top Rank CEO and co-promoter Bob Arum, on the other hand, dismissed the notion that Fury will simply walk away. A possible cross-over battle with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is in the works, and the Cameroonian attended Wembley. He wants to fight Fury while staying in the UFC, but his contract expires at the end of the year, and the ‘Predator’ will be able to explore his alternatives in free agency. Oleksandr Usyk will face Anthony Joshua again, and depending on the outcome of that fight, Fury may be persuaded to fight the winner.
