Vivo X90S image officially released, rear design revealed

It appears that Vivo will soon unveil the Vivo X90S smartphone in China. Jia Jingdong, who is Vivo China Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, released a couple of images while talking about Vivo being part of the Hangzhou Asian Games. One of the images (shown above) shared by him gives a look at the upcoming Vivo X90S smartphone.

As can be seen, the Vivo X90S looks identical to the Vivo X90. It has a round camera module housing three cameras, a dual-tone dual-LED flash unit, ZEISS branding, and a horizontal strip with “Xtreme Imagination” text imprinted on it. The shiny appeal of the rear shell suggests that the white edition of the Vivo X90S could be equipped with a glass back.

Reports have revealed that the Vivo X90S will also come in a new green or cyan color. However, it is unclear whether the green variant has a leather texture on the back. The two other changes that are expected to be seen on the Vivo X90S include the Dimensity 9200 Plus chip and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. To recall, the Vivo X90 offers the Dimensity 9200 and Wi-Fi 6.

Vivo X90S specifications

The Vivo X90S has a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will feature a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 12-megapixel (telephoto) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) triple camera unit on the back. The device runs on Android 13 OS with OriginOS 3.0.

The Dimensity 9200 Plus-powered device will come with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.810mAh battery. To keep the lights on, it will have a 4,810mAh battery with 120W charging support.
