Nokia’s CEO told that the company is exiting the Russian market, going further than rival Ericsson, which announced on Monday that it was suspending operations in the country indefinitely.
Hundreds of foreign companies have severed ties with Russia in the aftermath of its February 24 invasion of Ukraine and Western sanctions against Moscow.
While several industries, including telecommunications, have been exempted from some sanctions on humanitarian or other grounds, Nokia stated that leaving Russia was the only option.
