Bill Gates would spend an entire week in a secret cabin in the Pacific Northwest reading as many papers as he could.
“I would literally take boxes out to a beach place and sit there for a week reading them day and night and scribbling on them to putting it all online,” Gates explained.
Gates frequently attributes his early success to reading’s insistence on self-reflection. That is not to say that Gates’ appetite for literature has waned since.
Every year on April 23, the world celebrates World Book Day. The event is under the supervision of UNESCO. With the help of the event, UNESCO hopes to instil reading habits in people, particularly young people, and to raise awareness of the various issues affecting authors, publishers, and other related parties.
Because copyright is such a big deal in the world of books and writing, there is always a focus on it on World Book Day. As a result, this day is also known as World Book and Copyright Day in many parts of the world.
