COVID-19: Google honors’ unsung heroes’ in its new Doodle series
As the entire world continues to battle with the deadly coronavirus pandemic and cases continue to rise exponentially, many countries have implemented a lockdown hoping to slow down the rate of infections.
Yet, our essential workers, including health care professionals, doctors, nurses and emergency service workers are fighting this disease on the frontlines, offering assistance to the infected ones and helping maintain a sense of responsibility.
As a mark of gratitude to ‘Corona Warriors’, the tech giant Google has also launched a new Doodle series, in a bid to honor their selfless services. The text, on hovering the mouse, shows, “To all doctors, nurses and medical workers; thank you.”
“As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, people are coming together to help one another now more than ever. We’re launching a Doodle series to recognize and honor many of those on the front lines,”
Google wrote on its official page stating the purpose of the series.
During such periods of crisis, these kinds of initiatives by Google help boost the morale of the doctors and medical staff.
To commemorate special events, holidays, achievements, birth and death anniversaries of well-known historical figures, Google temporarily alters its logo on the homepage.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Google has leveraged its advanced platforms to disseminate reliable and accurate information to the users.
