Sweeney ran @ElonJet and other accounts that tracked the flights of other well-known people using publicly accessible flight data. Sweeney said that over the weekend, screenshots sent by a Twitter employee showed that the firm had restricted @ElonJet’s reach. Sweeney said on Monday that it seemed the account was no more extended subject to limitations, but Twitter has lifted the prohibition.

Musk made Sweeney an offer to remove the account in exchange for $5,000 in January, just before he revealed a bid to purchase Twitter. Sweeney declined the offer and demanded $50,000 instead. According to CNBC, @ElonJet has more than 500,000 followers. Sweeney also manages a variation of the bot on Instagram.
Despite asserting that @ElonJet “even to not banning the account following my plane, even though that is a direct personal safety risk”,- Musk said in November that he would not block the account. It’s still being determined whether Musk changed his mind or one of his staff members decided to suspend @ElonJet. A spokesperson for Twitter’s communications division is no longer available.
