Elon Musk, who is the founder and CEO of space exploration agency SpaceX, is aiming to put human beings in a settlement on Mars. He stated in a podcast last month that SpaceX will land people on the planet with its Starship rocket in 5 to 10 years.
Elon has huge plans for the Mars: namely, a self-sustaining town with solar-powered hydroponic farms where human beings can completely live, 34 million miles away from Earth.
“The next really big thing is to construct a self-sustaining metropolis on Mars and carry the animals and creatures of Earth there,” Musk told Time. “Sort of like a futuristic Noah’s ark. We’ll carry extra than two, even though — it is a little bizarre if there is solely two.” in January 2020, he said he planned to build a fleet of 1,000 ships and launch three of them a day to eventually transport 1 million people to Mars by 2050.
