Flipkart now issuing Rs 10000 worth of vouchers whose order got iPhone 13 cancelled
Flipkart advertised this iPhone 13 deal for the Big Billion Days sale, which was supposed to cost less than Rs. 50,000. While the phone was available for the stated price, with bank offers.
However, a few of these orders were canceled without prior notice or explanation to the customers. Worse, in the event of prepaid order cancellation, users will have to wait for the refund to be processed, which in most cases means that the amount will be stuck for more than 45 days.
With such a large sum of money locked up with Flipkart, most users are unable to place another order, which means they will also miss out on the offer.
While this response from Flipkart may not alleviate the customers’ pain, a few people have reported receiving Rs. 10,000 vouchers from Flipkart in exchange for their canceled orders.
After automatic cancelation of my iphone 13 which i ordered in BBD, finally the item was back in stock and i was able to place a fresh order with a Rs 10000 coupon which they provided as a compensation.
Hopefully they don't cancel the order this time.#Flipkart #BoycottFlipkart pic.twitter.com/T5X3rdAdZD— Vipul Chauhan (@levixaren) September 27, 2022
Though the e-commerce platform has not officially confirmed any such compensation, we are unsure of its terms and eligibility.
In any case, many people are unhappy with Flipkart’s “early buyers get the best deal” policy, and they believe that the platform could have used a different mode to host such high-octane deals. After all, it has successfully hosted many flash sales in collaboration with Xiaomi during the heyday of smartphone manufacturers.
