Google Account Name and Profile Picture Now Reportedly Being Displayed on Android Settings App
It has now been reported that on the Android Settings app, instead of just mentioning ‘Google’, the Google account name and profile picture of the user is now being displayed. The roll-out seems to be gradual and taking place at a slow pace, and this is believed to be a server side update.

Google Account Name and Profile Picture Displaying on Android Settings App?
As per a new update, received via @MishaalRahman, the Android Settings app is now reported to start displaying the Google account name and profile picture of the respective user instead of just simply mentioning ‘Google’. The information concerning the Google account name and profile picture are taken from the Google Play Services app, and thus, this update is believed to be a server side update.
About the roll-out, not everyone sees this change now and it is said that the roll-out is taking place gradually and at a slow pace. The same source also reports that this change has so far appeared for Pixel users who have their devices running on the Android 15 QPR2 Beta or Android 16 DP1 operating system versions.
Speaking of other recent Google updates, reports have arrived suggesting that Google has cancelled its 2nd Gen Pixel Tablet development, however, its tablet ambitions haven’t been completely abandoned and we may be seeing the rumored Tensor G6-powered tablet device launch in 2027.
