Google has not given any further details on this. It first announced its plan to manufacture the Pixel phones in India back in October 2023. This is expected to increase the market share of the Pixel phones as local production can help the company sell its phones in India at a lower price. As per the reports Google partnered with the Foxconn and Dixon subsidiary Padget Electronics for the local production.
As far as its recent market share is concerned market research firm Counterpoint Research mentioned in its report for the March quarter that Pixel had 0.04 percent. With local manufacturing, it’s expected to go up to 1.5 percent.
