Google to Add its Chirp 3 Voice Model onto the Vertex AI Platform

So far, in the sphere of generative AI, we have already seen text-based interfaces used to generate results in text, image, video, and many other forms. Slowly the tech world has started to see the rise of voice-based interfaces too, and brands are quickly adapting and trying to bring the needed changes.
Google – the California based tech maker has now revealed that the brand will be adding its Chirp 3 voice model to the Vertex AI development platform. Read more about this update below.
Chirp 3 Voice Model to be Integrated With the Vertex AI Platform
Google introduced its Vertex AI platform back in 2021, and it was initially meant to be a platform for developers, to help them build machine learning services in the cloud. However, ever since the growth of AI, the brand has been focusing more on it, and providing developers a platform to build generative AI tools.
As per what has now been announced, Google will be adding the Chirp 3 HD voice model to Vertex AI, in attempts to involve more in the voice-based generative AI sphere. To add, last week, the brand had also announced that it would be rolling out eight new voices in thirty-one different languages for Chirp 3. Building voice assistants, developing support agents, creating audio books, and voice overs for videos are a few of its use cases.
Speaking more, to prevent any sorts of misuse, there will be certain usage restrictions around Chirp 3 at the beginning, and the brand’s safety team will be working more on it. With this new move, Google seems to be bringing its Chirp 3 voice model too to the forefront, to the same position of its flagship Gemini large language model, Imagen image generation model, and Veo video generation model.
