If you are not a verified user on Twitter you won’t be allowed to vote in Twitter polls from April 15

Say it is a way to make Twitter free of bots or give no way to users other than buying blue ticks. It’s what it is. Musk’s tweet says something similar in which he informed that Twitter will only let verified accounts appear in “For you recommendation” from April 15. So if you are not a verified user you can’t just think of appearing in someone’s recommendation on Twitter. Musk further justified this move by writing “The is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over..”.

“Even the voting in the polls will require verification for the same reason,” Musk wrote. According to him, it’s ok to have verified bot accounts until they follow terms and service and don’t impersonate a human.

One of the Twitter users Ben asked in comments “I don’t get behind this decision. You need to invest money into talent and AI tech to detect the bots on the platform. This is not the way to go. It could tarnish the platform”.

In response to this Musk wrote, “My prediction is that this will be the only platform you can trust”. Some of the users also came with some harsh questions but Musk just wrote “$7” in response to it.

It won’t be wrong to say that users are unhappy with this move as they expressed their views in the comment section and somewhere it can make users think about whether Twitter is forcing people to blue tick in the name of bots or not.
