Indian-American hindu hurts another man, calls him “Disgusting Dog”

An Indian-American man was verbally assaulted by a fellow citizen in the US state of California, who called him a “Dirty Hindu” and a “disgusting dog,” only days after another violent act against four ladies from the community was recorded in Texas.Tejinder Singh, 37, verbally assaulted Krishnan Jayaraman in the Taco Bell on Grimmer Boulevard in Fremont, California on August 21, according to NBC News on Wednesday.

Krishnan Jayaraman recorded the eight-minute diatribe on his phone, catching the moment Tejinder Singh informed him,You’re disgusting dog. You look nasty. Don’t come out in public like this again.

Krishnan Jayaraman documented the eight-minute diatribe on his phone, capturing the exact moment when Tejinder Singh spoke to him that he is a revolting dog and has a bad appearance. Tejinder called him a “dirty Hindu,” used the N-word repeatedly, implied Krishnan Jayaraman didn’t eat meat, and yelled “beef!” in his face during his foul-mouthed rant. In the video, he appears to spit at Krishnan Jayaraman twice.Jayaraman claimed that he was terrified by the incident and was even more shocked to learn that the perpetrator was also an Indian. Adding onto this he said, ” I was scared, to be honest. I was infuriated on the one hand, but I was scared that what if this guy becomes too belligerent and then comes after me?”

However, the police came arresting the community. Even on social media, the police chief addressed the community.

“We take hate incidents and hate crimes seriously, and understand the significant impact they have on our community”, wrote Police Chief Sean Washington. The statement stated, “These are heinous crimes. We are here to protect all members of the community, regardless of gender, race, nationality, religion, or other differences. We would like to encourage everyone in the community to be respectful of one another and to report any circumstances like this that, upon investigation, may rise to the level of a crime.” They said during the event of a hate crime, they would try to make use of all the available resources in order to investigate and follow up.
