Instagram exclusively tweeted now to introduce its new “Quiet Mode” to its users. The Quiet Mode allows you to be offline and away while letting people know that you’re not in fact ignoring them, except you’re actually busy and are not receiving their texts.
The Mode allows you to mute notifications and change your activity status to “in quiet mode” for a certain time period. When someone DMs you while you’ve activated your quiet mode, they’ll get an auto-reply.
Your profile itself will show an annotation of “in quiet mode” near your bio and therefore, you don’t have to take an effort and deactivation if you want to take a much-needed break from Instagram.
