Motorola Edge 50 Pro Smartphone Faces a Major Bug, Reports Reddit User Online

A new update via a Reddit user has revealed a major bug that is present on Motorola’s latest April 2024-released Edge 50 Pro smartphone. While the issue has been resolved, it needs to be addressed and fixed by the brand as soon as possible.

Read more about it below.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro – Major Bug Troubles User

As per what has been shared, this Motorola Edge 50 Pro smartphone user, while using it with his Windows laptop, used the mobile desktop in landscape mode and had hit the lock button which was present at the bottom of the Windows screen. The device in one or two seconds got locked, but in a sudden turn of events started to reboot.

The problem as reported started once the device was turned on again following the reboot. Obviously the fingerprint scanning function wouldn’t work as the device has rebooted and the six digit pin should be entered. However, even after entering the pin correctly, the device did not get unlocked. What is surprising and unexpected was the fact that even after trying for 20 to 30 times, the device did not give any prompts for timeout or for ‘forgot pin’.

At the end of one or one and half hours, the user himself came up with a temporary solution. Pressing the power button and volume down button simultaneously for ten seconds, a screenshot will be automatically taken and the device will go to recovery mode. By clicking on the power button once more, the device will restart and everything goes back to normal.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro - Major Bug Reported by Reddit User

Even if the user has come up with a temporary solution and fixed the problem himself, the brand should be looking into it and must find out what had caused such a thing to happen. The necessary fix should also be rolled out, ensuring that this doesn’t happen in any other models too.
