OnePlus 13R mistaken to feature Silicon-carbon battery; Confusion seems to be created due to some creators and not the brand

The smartphone brand OnePlus officially unveiled its OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R smartphones in India at the beginning of this month. Both smartphones were launched with a 6000 mAh battery but the difference was OnePlus 13 featured a Silicon-carbon battery while the OnePlus 13R arrived with a lithium-ion battery.
But there seems to have been confusion that came to light after tech enthusiast and YouTube content creator Ashok Mor posted a video on the OnePlus 13 & OnePlus 13R on YouTube. In the video, it was mentioned that the OnePlus 13R does not have a Silicon-carbon battery, but in the comment section, the Youtuber spotted various users mentioning that the 13R includes a silicon-carbon battery.
🚨Important! 🚨
Yesterday, I made a video on the OnePlus 13 & 13R, where I mentioned that the 13R doesn't have a Silicon-Carbon battery but everyone says it does.
I checked some big YouTubers' videos, and they mentioned it too. But I didn't find it on the OnePlus official… pic.twitter.com/ZgWqFp7SJp— Ashok Mor (@_techibee) January 30, 2025
He further mentioned that when checking some YouTuber videos they also mentioned that the device contains a silicon-carbon battery but on checking the OnePlus website and about section of the devices it was found out that for the OnePlus 13, they have specified but for OnePlus 13R there is no such information.
See even ChatGPT say Silicon Carbon battery, & all the articles written by big Publishers.@AndroidPolice @TechAdvisorHQ

It was also revealed that even ChatGPT mentions that the OnePlus 13R has a silicon-carbon battery. YouTuber has also mentioned that publications like Android Police and TechAdvisorHQ have also mentioned the same.
One YouTuber commented that since he was not able to find details on the official page, he checked with major publications that include GSMarena. At that time they mentioned Si/C battery so he mentioned the same in his OnePlus 13R video.
I missed it too, maine to apni battery test video me 13R ko Si/C bola hai 🤯, official page pe details nahi mili thi mujhe bhi but major publications and GSM arena & all me us time check kiya tha to Si/C mentioned tha, (1/2)

This created confusion among many about whether the OnePlus 13R includes a silicon-carbon battery or not. YouTuber Ashok Mor has now shared an update related to this matter and has specified that many think this is a OnePlus error but OnePlus never created any confusion and this was a mistake made by some creators.
(Update) Many think this is a OnePlus error, but it's not. OnePlus never mentioned it some creators made a mistake, not the brand. https://t.co/IKbnOXJAhL

If you were also among the ones who were confused about the same, then know that the OnePlus 13 comes with an ultra-slim Silicon NanoStack battery while the OnePlus 13R comes with a lithium-ion battery.
