OnePlus Watch 3 release delayed until April in order to fix a typo on the back of the watch
Last week, the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus officially unveiled its all-new OnePlus Watch 3 in the US and European markets. The pre-orders were also started via the watch via OnePlus official website and the sale was supposed to start on 25th February globally.
But there is bad news for the OnePlus fans who were waiting for the sale to start, the release of the OnePlus Watch 3 has now been delayed until April. The reason for this delay is due to the recent discovery of a typo on the back of the smartwatch which mentioned that the watch was “Meda in China” instead of “Made in China.”
As per a report by 9to5Google, OnePlus explained in a press release, “The delay comes as a result of a minor typographical error identified below the watch face, which the company is addressing with a new batch. Pre-orders for the corrected device will continue from February 25.”
Also customers who receive a “Meda in China” version of the OnePlus Watch 3, returns will be available for them.
OnePlus Watch 3: Specs
The smartwatch sports a 1.50-inch LTPO AMOLED display that offers 466*466 screen resolution and up to 2200 nits peak brightness. It is equipped with Snapdragon W5 and BES2800BP processors and runs on Wear OS by Google+ RTOS. It offers 32GB memory. There are 100+ sports modes that includes 11 professional sports modes. The smartwatch provides health check-in in just 60 seconds- vascular health, heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep quality and breathing risk, wrist temperature, 360 body and mind. It is compatible with the OHealth app.
The wearable can track your sports with the help of dual-frequency GPS. Connectivity options include- Bluetooth 5.2, Bluetooth calling, NFC, dual-band L1+L5, Beidou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, and dual-band WiFi. It arrives with Sapphire crystal face, MIL-STD-810H certification, and IP68 water and dust resistance while can withstand 50m water pressure. The smartwatch offers up to 16 days of battery life in power saver mode and up to 5 days of battery life in smart mode. Users can also carry out mobile payments with OnePlus Watch 3 using Google Wallet.
